"I Found It! Success with Paper and Time Organization

Michele Notla

Description

Keeping paper and time manageable is a unique challenge for many recreation professionals. This session will prove that getting organized can actually be enjoyable and can help to promote career success. Participants will receive some tools they need for paper control, learn strategies to prioritize tasks, and develop solutions to dealing with "time gobblers". We will study our own organization personalities, and have the chance to practice some new techniques learned for both paper and time management

Objectives

  • Complete a self-quiz to realize their organizational personality
  • Practice a four-step "TRAF" process for paper management
  • Review and use a four-part grid for prioritizing time
  • Demonstrate stay-on-course communication skill

10:30am – 11:00 Networking Break

11:00am – 12:30pm 1st Concurrent Sessions

B1: Drum Circle Workshop

Tim Church

Participating in a drum circle is a communal, team building event that requires focused listening and cooperation, which leads to group awareness. It unifies body and mind and gives us an opportunity to trust our intuition. It uplifts the spirit, relieves stress, and allows healing to take place. Plus, it is a lot of fun.
